2025 Medicare Parts A & B Premiums and Deductibles

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) released the 2025 Medicare Parts A & B Premiums and Deductibles on November 8th, 2024.

Medicare Part B Premiums/Deductibles

The standard Medicare Part B monthly premium will increase $10.30 from 2024, from $174.70 to $185.00.  The annual Part B deductible will also be increasing to $257 in 2025, a change of $17 from the 2024 deductible.

Since 2023, individuals whose full Medicare coverage ended 36 months after a kidney transplant, and who do not have certain other types of insurance coverage, can elect to continue their Part B benefits for immunosuppressive drugs ONLY by paying a premium – which will be $110.40/month in 2025.

Premiums for high-income beneficiaries who are married and lived with their spouse at any time during the taxable year, but file a separate return, are as follows:

Medicare Part A Premium & Deductible

Enrollees aged 65 and over who have fewer than 40 quarters of qualified working credits and certain persons with disabilities pay a monthly premium in order to voluntarily enroll in Medicare Part A.  Individuals who had at least 30 quarters of working credits or who were married to someone with at least 30 quarters will pay $285/month in 2025.  Individuals who have less than 30 quarters of working credits will pay the full Part A premium, which will be $518 a month in 2025, a $13 increase from 2024.
